These routes are ideal for both families and sports enthusiasts , and are complemented by a wide variety of local loops that criss-cross a network of small country roads offering unmissable panoramas, picturesque villages and the chance to explore all the facets of the Lot-et-Garonne.

Villeneuve – Vallée du Lot is home to 21km of greenways with secure cycle paths, 3 cycle tourism circuits and 5 mountain bike loops!

It’s much more than just a route: it’s an invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature and discover the local heritage in a whole new way.

On a bike, you get to see the true contours of a country, as you have to sweat it out on the hills and freewheel downhill.

Green route

The “voie verte” offers 21 km of safe cycle path linking the bastide town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot with the towns and villages of Bias, Casseneuil and Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot.

This shady loop, which runs alongside the River Lot at times, is ideal for a family outing, during which you can make a few stops in these villages to discover the local heritage.

To extend the pleasure, head for Le Temple-sur-Lot or even Castelmoron-sur-Lot for a twenty-kilometre ride!

Cycle route

The cycle route offers a complete itinerary of almost 160 km linking the town of Aiguillon to Cahors, via Le Temple-sur-Lot, the bastide town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Fumel and Puy-l’Evêque. For those looking for a challenge, it’s now possible to ride as far as Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, although beware of the steep gradients.

This itinerary is a perfect blend of sport and heritage, as it takes you through many villages and different départements.
