Lot-et-Garonne offers the ideal setting for enjoying the pleasures of water in an unspoilt environment. Thanks to the River Lot, a veritable natural and cultural jewel, water-based activities here take on their full meaning: they combine discovery, fun and relaxation!

Canoeing and paddling are both fun and accessible water sports, ideal for discovering the river in a gentle way, whether on your own or with the whole family!

You can hire canoes, paddles, kayaks and even pedalos at the 5 water sports centres in the area:

The boats, whether cruising or electric and licence-free, let you discover the charm of the Lot and are perfect for a peaceful ride along the water, between picturesque villages, locks and unspoilt natural landscapes.

You can hire electric boats without a licence at our water sports centres:

You can also hop on board the “Lou Vent d’Olt” cruise boat with Les Croisières du Lot and choose from several options: dinner and/or lunch cruises, walking cruises and private cruises.

gabarre

The Barguelonne, a wooden gabarre from Casseneuil, offers its passengers privacy and proximity to the River Lot. During the summer, the C’Lot water sports centre offers several trips on the river:

Classic trips: Wednesday and Friday mornings, from 10am to 11am and 11am to 12pm
Evening gabarre aperitifs: booking required
Trips to Villeneuve-sur-Lot: Saturday mornings

swimming

Swimming is a pleasant and refreshing activity, particularly popular on hot summer days.

There are two options for enjoying the coolness of the water:

Centre aqualudique de Malbentre in Pujols: indoor swimming pool all year round and paddling pool, 6-lane pentaglide and mineral beaches in summer.
Piscine sur le Lot in Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot: 100m² floating pool open only in summer, supervised swimming.

relaxation beaches

Beaches offer the perfect setting for a holiday, with their soothing landscapes and varied activities!

There are two options here too:

Le Quai de Gajac in Villeneuve-sur-Lot: picnic tables, snack bars, petanque pitch, multi-sports pitch, etc.
Casseneuil beach: nautical base, restaurants, fishing pontoon.

Swimming in the Lot is not permitted.
