Built between the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century, on a base from the second half of the 13th century, Bonaguil is an absolute model of a fortified castle, a unique ensemble in Europe. It illustrates the evolution of defense techniques from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, up to the beginnings of Vauban fortifications in the perspective of fire artillery. At the gateway to the Lot and Périgord, in Lot-et-Garonne, the Château de Bonaguil is remarkably preserved. Towers, keep, drawbridge, cave, seigneurial hall, oratory, graffiti, underground passages, etc., a visit to the castle is a real journey through time. It welcomes you, day and night, from the top of its keep to the cool of its cave for thrilling visits, activities, workshops and an escape game that take you back to the Middle Ages.
