In Haut-Agenais, on the borders of Quercy and Périgord, overlooking the confluence of the Lot and Lémance, stands the imposing silhouette of the Benedictine priory of Saint Géraud de Monsempron. Associated with a pilgrimage church, this complex, listed as a Historic Monument, is built on a rocky spur on which run the steep streets of the old fortified village. The crypt containing 19th century relics is open to visitors. Contemporary art exhibitions are occasionally presented in the former priory residence.
